As part of the Standards in Public Office Commission (SIPO) investigation into illegal foreign funding by George Soros/OpenSociety Foundations of repeal the 8th lobby groups, the IFPA told SIPO it is not a “campaigning body”.

Of course the IFPA opening campaigns for widespread abortion.

For instance in May 2016 the IFPA traveled to Geneva to address the UN at the adoption of Ireland’s UPR report and delivered an oral statement on behalf of itself the IFPA, the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, the National Women’s Council, the Abortion Rights Campaign and the Coalition to Repeal the Eighth Amendment. The IFPA with the the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, the National Women’s Council, the Abortion Rights Campaign are together members of the Coalition to Repeal the Eighth Amendment.

The Oral Statement and Report called on Ireland to reform its Constitution and legislation to allow for abortion in wide-ranging circumstances.

As part of its campaign to introduce widespread abortion in Ireland the IFPA lobbied states of the Human Rights Council make the following recommendations to Ireland:

1. Repeal Article 40.3.3 of the Irish Constitution

2. Repeal the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act, 2013

3. Decriminalise abortion by repealing sections 22 and 23 of the Protection of life During Pregnancy Act, 2013

4. Repeal the Information Act 1995 5. Introduce all legal and other measures necessary to provide a framework for abortion that is human rights compliant in law and in practice.

And yet the IFPA tells the the Standards in Public Office Commission it is not campaigning on the issue of abortion?
